Ironwall Legions
Ironwall Legions is the kind of tower defence game that rewards you for thinking two waves ahead. You don't just plonk towers down; you build an economy, decide when to upgrade versus when to expand, and adapt as the enemy composition shifts. The first few maps ease you in, then it gets genuinely tough.
The tech tree is the star. Each path changes how your defence behaves, and committing early locks you out of other options, so no two playthroughs feel identical. We appreciated that the game never hides the numbers from you, so losing always feels like your mistake rather than bad luck.
It's not perfect. The interface gets cramped on smaller screens, and placing towers precisely during a chaotic wave can be fiddly. But once it clicks, this is one of the most satisfying strategy experiences on mobile right now.
